Ayurvedic Yoga Massage, The Technique...

 This scientifically redefined full body deep tissue massage from Pune combines principals and techniques from both yoga and ayurveda. Similar to Shiatsu and the traditional ayurvedic stroking massage (abhyanga), this is a unique method of therapeutic body work.

The massage is a combination of the traditional ayurvedic stroking massage (abhyanga), yoga stretches to open and align the body, as well as the use of strategic acupressure points to activate the various systems of the body (e.g. nervous, digestive and respiratory systems)

This therapeutic massage involves working along the the main energy lines (nadis) running along the spine and down the centre of the arms and legs. Calamus powder, an antiseptic, detoxifying and exfoliating agent is used along with a special blend of aromatic essential oils.

Benefits of the Ayurvedic Yoga Massage...

Flexibility and strength - Yoga stretches align and open the musculoskeletal structure.

Anti-stress and anti-depressant - Stress trapped in the spasming tight muscles and body is released allowing the body to return to its natural harmonic state.

Use of special herbal powder (vaikhand/calamus) along with aromatic essential oils - Calamus is a good antiseptic, detoxifying and exfoliating agent for the skin.

Increases prana or your life force energy - The session activates the lymphatic system, circulatory system and starts a process of detoxification in the body.

Release of emotional blockages - It facilitates deep and profound breathing which might help to release many emotional blockages.

Medical benefits of massage - An increasing number of research studies show that massage reduces heart rate, lowers blood pressure, increases blood circulation and lymph flow, relaxes muscles, improves range of motion, and increases endorphins (release of “feel-good” chemicals in the body). Although therapeutic massage does not increase muscle strength, it can stimulate weak, inactive muscles and, thus, partially compensate for the lack of exercise and inactivity resulting from illness or injury. It can also hasten and lead to a more complete recovery from exercise or injury.

My work space...

I freelance out of my residence in Masoli, Dahanu. The room is beautifully set up for massage and opens out into a delightful terrace surrounded by trees.

I share my home with 5 dogs and 3 cats so it is important that you are relaxed around animals! The massage space is animal free!!
